Get your fat felt tip out. There's a party at Salt Dog Slim's

New walls please.

The people behind Hipsterville’s favourite hot dog and stein stop, Salt Dog Slims, don’t let the bratwurst grow under their feet.

These last couple of weeks have been very busy, they say, as they’ve not only revamped the menu, but also the Ropewalks venue.

And a brand new range of delicious and unusually topped hot dogs, alongside a new refreshing summer cocktail menu, would not be the same without “an exciting refurbishment”, it says here.

Which means a party, a "Writing on the Wall Launch Party", taking place on Wednesday 23rd August.

For the more culturally enthused, this is not to be confused with Liverpool's annual Writing On The Wall festival which is more radical and political than relish and pickle.

Johnny Bongo on the decks

No, this is about grafitti and an open call to foodies sausage lovers and cocktail connoisseurs to grab a Sharpie, step inside the Seel Street dive and help re-decorate it by adding their own personal touch to the wall, graffiti style.

In order to loosen inhibitions and get the scrawl going, guests will be plied with plenty of free Jaeger. But if that’s not enough, the genius that is Johnny Bongo will be putting down his big money bingo balls for once in order to turn DJ - with a soundtrack for dancing until the early hours.

Hungry guests, meanwhile, can purchase a tasty hot dog from the new food menu, which features everything from Le Big Mac (Pork Dog, White Onion, Lettuce, Cheese Slices, Cheese Sauce, Big Mac Sauce, Chopped Pickle) to the Lo Pan (Pork Dog, Sui Mai, Char Sui Sauce, Salt & Pepper, Fresh Chilli, Spring Onion) all of which can be washed down with the creative drinks menu, which features much-loved classics that have been given a Salt Dog twist.
