THEY covered 30 miles of Liverpool turf: Newsham Park, the streets of Kenny, the waterfront and up to Clarence Dock, the Little Girl, her Grandmother and Xolo the dog, plodded the city, watched by an estimated million people.
Royal de Luxe's three giants finally bid Liverpool adieu on Sunday's high tide, sailing on barges up the River Mersey.
Big hugs all round
Not many people are around with Memories of 1914, but Memories of 2014 will undoubtedly still be doing the rounds in another 100 years, thanks to our love affair with the smartphone.
Photographer Wesley Storey had a slightly more sophisticated bit of kit and was with the Giants every step of the way.
