EXCHANGE Flags, at the rear of Liverpool Town Hall and situated in the heart of the city’s Commercial District and World Heritage site, is to undergo a makeover for a city centre event.

Hosted by the Commercial District BID and Managed by SK Events & PR, the festival will run from Monday 18 to Friday 22 August.
Designed with an ‘edgy European twist’ (is that a lolly-ice? Ed), the festival will include producers’ stalls, vintage clothes markets, local restaurants and bars, antiques stores, flower stalls and others.
Laid back entertainment will be provided by The Cavern as part of Beatles’ Week and the Convention at the Town Hall on Friday.
There will also be cooking demonstrations and master classes from some of the city’s most talented chefs, as well as entertainment from local artists, stilt walkers and street theatre performers.
Local businesses will also be able to utilise this amazing space for outdoor meetings and networking events.
Tracey Crosbie, Events Manager at Liverpool BID Company, said: “This summer features a fabulous week long party showcasing the best of the Commercial District.
‘’It’s going to be great opportunity for businesses to participate in or to just come and visit with colleagues and network.’’
Denise Harris, director of SK Events & PR, said: “Exchange Flags is a beautiful space and a perfect setting for a Portobello Road themed market. We are looking forward to bringing a real buzz to this part of town.”

It makes us appear subservient and diffident, as though we don’t have any ideas of our own. Exchange Flags doesn’t need a Portobello Road theme market, it just needs a bloody good market.
