Chester Grosvenor made the announcement of the new arrival on its Instagram, writing; "We are delighted to formally welcome our new Executive Chef, Elliot Hill to The Chester Grosvenor.

"Elliot comes to us with a wealth of experience, having most recently been Head Chef at Panoramic 34 in Liverpool, where he earnt and retained an entry in the Michelin guide, and previously as part of the Bespoke Hotels family, holding the position of Head Chef at Oddfellows Chester, where he executed the rebranding of the food business and its ‘Cultivated’ restaurant."

Elliot, originally from Cheshire, has been recognised for his many achievements throughout his chef career, with accolades that include National Chef of the Year Semi-Finalist, Game Chef of the Year Finalist and Acorn Award finalist.

He started out as executive chef of a small pub and restaurant company in London and then moved back up north to be a part of the team that launched Hotel Gotham in Manchester.

Gordo was certainly impressed when he popped into Panoramic for lunch last summer.

"I’ve been keeping an eye on a promising young chef for a few years now," wrote the Confidentials reviewer in August 2021.

"He’s Elliot Hill, a good-looking fella with an engaging smile backed up with some steel behind the eyes. According to his contemporaries, Elliot Hill is out to make an impression."

Elliot has certainly made an impression on The Grosvenor and will oversee the Arkle restaurant as well as two AA-Rosette La Brasserie and the hotel's banqueting and afternoon tea offerings.

Nathan Booth takes over the role of head chef at Panoramic 34. Nathan was previously head chef at Kelp, having also worked for the likes of Six by Nico, Thornton Hall, Roski, Wreckfish, and The Art School.
