Four nights of festive cheer at Camp and Furnace
Camp and Furnace is being magically transformed into a winter wonderland by some jolly little elves for four nights of festive cheer leading up to the big day. Christmas Day.
From Friday 20 December to Monday 23 December you can enjoy a German Christmas Market, in fact, a whole Christmas village, without having to wander round in the cold.
The Christkindelmarkt is coming to Camp and Furnace bringing with it a host of traditional German treats. It’s almost like going to Cologne or Frankfurt without leaving Liverpool. After all, you don’t want to miss the annual visit from the big guy in red and white.
You’ll find mulled wine stalls, an authentic German bierkeller, scrumptious food and music. By music, that means performances from The Bavarian Stompers, a well-known Oompah band who are known for their rousing, even their roof-raising performances. Stille Nacht this is not.
Paul Speed, managing director at Camp and Furnace, explains: ‘We’re known for the huge variety of shows and events we put on so we’re excited to welcome the Christkindelmarkt just in time for Christmas – there’ll be plenty of traditional food and drink on offer, as well as lively entertainment to get everyone in the festive spirit.’
The Christkindelmarkt will be running from 6pm until midnight every day of its run and with all that booze around this is one part of Christmas that’s not for the kids. It’s an unmissable part of the festive fun in the lead-up to Christmas.
Also on offer at Camp and Furnace this December is a series of pop-up cinema events showing yuletide classics such as Elf,Nightmare Before Christmas,The Grinchand It’s A Wonderful Life.
Advance tickets for Christkindelmarkt are £6.
