Schloss is set to host the UK’s biggest bier-fuelled celebration outside of Munich
Kicking off on Saturday 20 September, coinciding with the original festivities in Munich, Albert’s Schloss is set to host a huge Oktoberfest celebration - the UK’s biggest in fact.
For three full weeks (until Sunday 12 October), Albert’s Schloss will be offering unique Bavarian brews, tasty new dishes, and non-stop live entertainment that’ll be sure to have you dancing on tables.
Last year’s record-breaking turnout is expected to be topped this year, with plenty of guests donning traditional Alpine attire and a high-energy schedule of entertainment including traditional keg tapping ceremonies, Oompah and brass bands, wiener-eating competitions, pretzel tossing, hat tossing and bier guzzling challenges – as well as live best-dressed lederhosen and dirndl competitions.
The Cook Haus will be fuelling the festivities with a selection of hearty Oktoberfest food specials running from 20 September to 12 October. This year’s Bavarian-inspired menu includes Oktoberfest Paprika Roasted Half Chicken, the towering traditional Schweinshaxe (Bavarian pork knuckle) and a selection of Wurst and Currywurst. Sweet indulgence comes in the form of the München Mess and Klassic Apple Strudel.
James Plant, Head of Innovation at Albert’s Schloss commented: “We are so happy to be extending Oktoberfest to three full weeks this year. Every year the energy and enthusiasm from our guests grows, and 2024 completely exceeded expectations. This year we are going even bigger - with more bier, more showtime and more Bavarian feasting. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back through the doors.”
