IF YOU'VE struggled to get excited for the upcoming Leeds Beer Week (28 August - 6 September) because you think you don’t like beer, then we’ve got just the event for you.

There’s A Beer For That is a campaign backed by Britain’s Beer Alliance, to show beer drinkers and non-drinkers alike that there’s more to beer than “same again, please". There are over 140 styles to choose from, depending on what you’re in the mood for, what you’re doing while you’re drinking it, or what you’re eating while you’re drinking it.

Focussing on that last one, on Wednesday 31 August they're teaming up with The Black Swan’s talented head chef Ollie Edwards, and beloved local brewery Ilkley Brewery for an experience exploring the flavours present in a variety of beers, and how they work with food. This isn’t just a beer-matching event, though, and rather than telling you what's right and wrong, and what works with what, you’ll be encouraged to explore and understand your own palate as you sample eight carefully selected beers along with dishes that focus on a major taste group.

We’ve got two tickets to the event to give away, and you’re eligible to enter whether you’re a beer-lover, or a beer-lover who just doesn’t realise it yet. To enter,
