Dough in the City to open in November
The latest addition to the Vice Group will open in November, providing a new place for brunch lovers, diners and drinkers alike to come together and ply their respective trades.
Dough in the City will open underneath Vice and Virtue on New Briggate, offering brunches, cocktails, craft beer and an exciting evening menu under the guidance of executive chef Laura MacLeod and General Manager Clare Morrow. The name is a nod back to the group’s first venture, Dough Bistro, where MacLeod was the award-winning head chef.
It’s exciting times for the Vice Group, as Dough will occupy the same building as Vice and Virtue, which won Best Fine Dining Restaurant at the Food Awards England last week. Recent developments have also seen Feed in Pudsey open to rave reviews, and Feed head chef Jono Hawthorne will be offering his expert input, along with group director and executive chef, Luke Downing.
Morrow said: “First and foremost, I want to create somewhere that people want to come and eat and drink and stay all night- we really are offering something for everyone across the building. But with the passion and knowledge of the team we have, I hope to push the limits of what Leeds hospitality is currently offering, and ultimately be renowned for delivering consistently good service whilst constantly developing and evolving what we are offering.”
Dough in the City will be the fifth opening from the Vice Group, joining Vice and Virtue, Feed, West Park’s Apertivo and Shadwell’s Nineteen Bar and Grill. From morning coffee to brunches, high-end fine dining, cocktails and snacks, Downing and co. have found a way to provide something excellent to just about every demographic in Leeds. We reckon that Dough in the City will be every bit as good – but there’s only one way to find out, with bookings available online from November 2nd.
