American Bar at The Savoy is currently ranked the best bar in Europe, and second in the world.
Currently ranked at number two on the official World's 50 Best Bars list - making it also the best in Europe - American Bar at The Savoy has rightly earned a reputation for itself. And this June, Leeds cocktails fans won't have to travel all the way to London to see what the fuss is about.
As part of Leeds Loves Cocktails 2017, which takes place between June 5 - 11, American Bar will be taking over Manahatta for an exclusive pop-up.
The 24-drink cocktail menu at American Bar draws on The Savoy's legendary 125-year history, as well as referencing London's distinct character - with drinks divided into the capital's boroughs and named after their landmarks - so we can't wait to see what influence their bartenders have taken from Leeds. One thing we do know is that the pop-up is in association with London-based gin Portobello Road, which has roots in Call Lane.
The full line-up of the 50 events taking place for the festival's fifth anniversary hasn't been announced yet, but expect parties, tastings, masterclasses, dinners and unique menus. Your LLC writstband, as ever, entitles you to £5 cocktails from bars like Headrow House, Pintura, Blackhouse, Hedonist Project, Jake’s Bar and Manahatta.
It all kicks off on Saturday 13 May with a city-wide cocktail treasure hunt, where the winner will get £250 worth of bar tab to spend.
