Feeling nosey? Take a look at D&D's new Manhattan-inspired cocktail bar a week before it opens
Restaurant group D&D London has revealed a small preview of its new Leeds restaurant and bar East 59th, ahead of next week’s grand opening.
The Manhattan-inspired bar is set to open on the roof of (the apparently “too high-end”) Victoria Gate development on Friday 14 July, following the launch of their Japanese restaurant Issho in a neighbouring plot next door.

The 5,400sq ft venue includes an all-day grill and bar with a menu of US classics like burgers, ribs, bagels, and steaks, all given an “East 59th twist” by Lee Murdoch, head chef of Angelica and Crafthouse. Its location on the roof of Victoria Gate means you can get panoramic views of the city from its terrace.
The venue - named after the location of D&D’s flagship venue Gustavino’s, in New York - features more contemporary, stripped back decor than any of D&D’s existing Leeds ventures, with bold upholstery, poured concrete features, and nods to Manhattan’s pop-art legacy.
Bookings are being taken now for 14 July onwards, and you can take advantage of 50% off during their soft launch period by visiting east59th.co.uk.
