FOLLOWING wildly popular appearances at Trinity Kitchen, Leeds Indie Food Festival’s Leeds Feast, and sell-out supper clubs at Northern Monk Refectory, Young British Foodie award-winners Dorshi are coming back to Leeds in November.
We have always considered Leeds to be our wanton mistress...
-Radhika, Dorshi
"It’s no secret that while we live in green & chaste Dorset, we have always considered Leeds to be our wanton mistress” says wonton mistress - and one-half of Dorshi - Radhika Mohendas.
Any particular reason they've chosen now to visit? - “We want to."
Fair enough.
"Doing something food related is the best justification for that, and we really want to share some of the stuff we’ve been working on in the restaurant”
“This is simply a little taste of the sharing plates we serve at Bartholomews Hall - our latest endeavor in Bridport that has been heady, needy & humbling”
Described as “English ingredients dressed up as Geishas”, that little taste includes brussels sprout and turnip kimchi, silken hemp tofu, a selection of steamed and fried dumplings, and shirataki and hand-torn egg-spelt noodles with rare-breed pork, free range chicken, cornish seaweed and all manner of pickles and house-made sauces.
The pop-up is a collaboration with old pals Jim & Dan at Sheaf Street Cafeteria’s Grub & Grog Shop, on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 November, and you can reserve your table for either evening through Eventbrite
