The new Basque basement venue launches on Thursday 8 March

A BASQUE inspired gin-fuelled bar called, not unsurprisingly, Pintxos is Pintura Kitchen’s jolly way of celebrating its third birthday.

Launched from 7pm on Thursday 8 March in the basement of the Trinity establishment – with free drinks and a gig from Daisy Willock thrown in – it is inspired by exec chef research trips to Michelin starry San Sebastian. So expect imaginative takes on pintxos, the Basque equivalent of tapas, combining imported delicacies with the best of British seasonal produce.

'...using fanciful garnishes, interesting tonics, bitters, tinctures, fresh herbs, juices, jams and liqueurs'

It also features a new ‘Gin & Tonic Plus’ menu which blurs the lines between the traditional G&T and the cocktail, using fanciful garnishes, interesting tonics, bitters, tinctures, fresh herbs, juices, jams and liqueurs.

Meanwhile, same evening in Pintura proper experts from Portobello Gin will be on hand at a £50 a head five course menu with matching gin-based tipples.
