The Bloody Big Brunch | Tribeca, 8 September
It’s time to tackle period poverty – but in a way it’s never been tackled before. At the Bloody Big Brunch, Bloody Mary’s can be “bought” in exchange for period products to stock up supplies for the 1 in 10 women in the UK who can’t afford them. With TV presenter and personality Stacey Solomon visiting Manchester to support the event, the campaign promises to put the conversation around period poverty firmly on the menu without embarrassment or dismissal.

Stylist live | Trafford Centre, 8 & 9 September
Michelle Keegan, Reggie Yates and more are descending on the Trafford Centre this September as the London event launches its northern rival. Hosted by Stylist Magazine, Stylist Live promises talks from influential speakers including Ray BLK and the Man City Women’s team, as well as workshops, catwalks and showcases from top brands.

Urban Rush Manchester | Portland Basin, 23 September
Journey through the canal ways, streets and footpaths of Manchester with this unique charity run. The 15-mile course is in aid of Shelter, a charity that tackles homelessness across the region – where 1 in 154 people in Manchester are currently homeless. In thanks of their fundraising efforts, runners will receive a sports massage, free race photos, a medal and technical top on completion of the course.

If your bathroom is a pungent playground of bath bombs and balms, then is one beauty event you don’t want to miss.
