NO matter how Liverpool changes, it remains a great place to go shooting – just look at the Echo gun map.

But there are, happily, a great many other things pointing in the city's favour.

Liverpool's face – with its grit and zits, blemishes and overall beauty – is among the most photogenic in the UK. Chambre Hardman knew it and even in the Instagram day there is plenty to capture in the shutter.

Now images of Liverpool are wanted for a high profile event being organised by the exciting-looking  LOOK/13, Liverpool's international photography biennial, which opens on May 17.

It's called Made In Liverpool and organisers are asking: Were you born in Liverpool? Have you moved here? What does the city mean to you? What does it mean to be Made in Liverpool?

If you are a photographer based in Liverpool or Merseyside and you're making work about the city and its inhabitants, LOOK/13 wants to hear from you.

Organisers say: “We are asking each entrant to submit one series of up to six photographs. The best will be part of a giant slideshow to kick off the launch party at Camp and Furnace. "

If you are interested, images must be in jpeg format amd must be 3000x2000 pixels and 72dpi

All images must include meta data including photographer details, copyright status, caption and location details. The photographer retains copyright of their images in all instances.

Send your entries to MadeInLiverpool@lookphotofestival.com by 17th April 2013, it says here.
