There's two brand new attractions for 2012 – the terrifying Nemesis Sub-Terra, and Ice Age The 4D Experience.

Nemesis Sub-Terra is a physically and psychologically thrilling experience that takes you deep underground into a restricted facility where a system of hidden caves has been discovered. It emerges that the Nemesis site, first excavated in 1994, is not all it seems. A darkened maze of tunnels await those brave enough to enter Nemesis Sub-Terra.

Ice Age The 4D Experience combines 3-D footage, based on the third movie in the blockbuster series, with an exhilarating variety of physical effects including icy blasts, snow and bubbles. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet Sid and Scrat around the Alton Towers Resort.

If you aren’t lucky enough to win the overnight break, the Alton Towers Resort could be sending you and your town to the theme park for a day. Throughout August, the Alton Towers Resort's Fantastical Express bus will visit five towns and cities across the UK, whisking the residents away to spend the day at Britain’s Greatest Escape.
