SINCE arriving on the Merseyside food scene, Spire has been gaining plaudits from food critics and national food guides alike, as well as gathering a following of loyal and regular customers.

So, why is Spire getting so much love? Well, here’s your opportunity to find out. This competition, exclusive to Liverpool Confidential readers, offers you the chance to win an early evening meal for two from the restaurants’ early evening prix fixe menu.

Spire specialise in modern British and European cuisine and their early doors menu boasts a wealth of high quality ingredients, locally sourced.

Choose from starters including warm ham hock with piccalilli, yellow fin tuna fish cake, or crispy halloumi fritters with pomegranate. Move to mains such as a 7oz rump steak of English beef, Goosenagh chicken, or a mille feuille of roasted vegetables with goats cheese, and then top it all off with something from the dessert list, whose temptations include raspberry crumble pannacotta and chocolate torte.
