MERE Brook House, situated on the Wirral Peninsula, has launched an innovative reservations service, which makes bookings quick, simple and under 140 characters.

Potential guests can now tweet to book, via social media site Twitter, in order to reserve their stay at the five star country house in the North West.

Owner Lorna Tyson says: “Twitter is a hive of activity for travellers looking for their next destination and we wanted to not only engage with them to create some buzz around the house but offer them a quick and easy way to book.

“Sending a simple tweet is so much easier than tracking down a website or making a phone call. Guests who haven’t made the technical jump yet do not need to worry though, visitors can still book through all the usual channels including SMS text message.”

To book via Twitter, simply tweet your date(s), party size and name to @MereBrookHouse and the team will get in touch to confirm the booking.

Mere Brook House is everything that a hotel is not – with no check in or out times, a relaxed booking system and food and drinks for guests to help themselves.

Mere Brook House offers eight rooms, priced from £75, see www.merebrookhouse.co.uk or www.twitter.com/MereBrookHouse  for more information.
