RUSSELL Brand's first ever world stand-up tour will be visiting Liverpool in December.

It's in the not very big Echo Arena Audtorium, so it will sell out quickly.

The tour, officially named Messiah Complex, will be a “dissection of various social and religious figures and the reality of their lives through comparisons of each other”.

“Messiah Complex is a mental disorder where you think you might be the messiah,” it says here.

Brand reveals: “As well as theatres I will be appearing in prisons, drug rehabs, social network HQs, universities, nationalist organisations, Mosques, foreclosed houses, protest sites, Synagogues and in people's private homes.

He added: “I dedicate this Messiah Complex tour to the four men that are its subject, Che Guevara, Gandhi, Malcolm X and Jesus - I know this is what they would have wanted. If this is the end of the world I'm going to go out laughing with an erection.”

Brand recently told the tabloids: "I'm looking for my future wife who is kind, sweet and sexually adventurous."

But perhaps on the more cerebral side, he's penned several bright and thought provoking political pieces in the broadsheets in the last few months, where his trademark how's-your-fatherness was completely absent.
