TEMPTED, Labelled with Love, Cool for Cats, Up the Junction.... The most memorable thing about a Squeeze song is the lyric, and Chris Difford, the bloke responsible for hese and dozens of other melodramas in a melody is doing the rounds.
Chris Difford appears at The Brindley, Runcorn, on Monday May 21, with a cult comedy star as special guest.
The double Ivor Novello Award-winning lyricist and gravel-voiced Squeeze frontman has brought us characters and sketches from every day life, turning the mundane into the beautiful, the urbane into the exquisite for over 30 years.
For this special show, Chris is joined by Red Dwarf star and stand up comedian Norman Lovett for an evening of music and humour.
With Norman providing laughs in his own inimitable style, Chris telling stories of musical life - covering everything from the 50p advert in a newsagent window that was the start of Squeeze, through to playing Madison Square Garden - and beyond.
With classics and recent solo tunes, expect a night of tall tales, big laughs and great songs, it says here.
The show will start at 8pm and tickets are on sale now priced £17 from The Brindley Box Office on 0151 907 8360 or you can book online here
