CONFIDENTIAL PROMOTION

Christmas is getting closer but there's no need to panic – let Delifonseca's seasonal offerings fill you with a festive glow.

The food hall is a real hamper heaven

For unique Christmas cuisine, Fonseca’s on Stanley Street will offer a range of yuletide merriments ideal for celebrations amongst friends and work colleagues – whilst the Dockside eatery will create a cosy hub away from the hustle and bustle, perfect for intimate family celebrations.

Christmas is a time for something different, something special, so Fonseca's go all out with an exciting new festive menu. Both sites have crammed their signature sharing starter platters full of interesting offerings such as Colston Basset Stilton and cider Rarebit, Liverpool gin cured salmon and our quirky savoury Christmas puds. There's even a mini fondue with maple pecans and Brussels sprouts.

Main courses are just as intriguing with options for all palates. Vegetarians will be delighted with choices such as mushroom duxelle millefeuille and there are also luxurious dishes such as fish pie with smoked haddock, salmon and langoustine topped with Mrs Kirkham's tasty Lancashire crumble and comforting winter warmers like the unctuous slow-braised beef and pork options.

Last year Fonseca’s was such a popular Christmas venue that they are for the first time working on a Christmas Day menu. Danielle Youds the General Manager says, “We had so many enquiries last year about Christmas Day that we couldn’t ignore it.”

At Christmas, the award-winning Dockside Food hall’s speciality food ranges come into its own. In addition to diversity of culinary delights, customers hosting Christmas at home are able to make use of the pre-order service – whereby they are able discuss and order their entire food wishlist in advance, and book a collection time that suits them.

Owner Candice Fonseca explained: “At Christmas time people do like to stretch their culinary muscles and they are looking for more unusual ingredients such as truffle honey, caviar, squid ink, pancetta or more unusual spices.

“We find that the pre-order service has become increasingly popular as customers have cottoned on to how civilised it is. They can spend time with us before all the Christmas madness starts and order exactly what they need. Whilst many ordered our in-house specialities like Hand-Raised Game Pie, or our signature pates, most have started to add all the standard products on like onions and carrots so that they simply have to a one stop collection. The goods are bagged and ready to collect at a time that suits them – most people choose to pick up their feast on either the 23rd or the 24th December.”

The Food Hall is a real hamper heaven. The staff pride themselves on being able to create an ideal hamper for just about anyone. Foodie or not, there is always a selection of products that can be tailored to suit. Whether it’s someone partial to a ‘Liverpool Gin & Tonic’, a chocolate lover, coffee lover, beer lover, Spain lover or someone obsessed with marshmallows, Delifonseca can create the perfect bespoke hamper. These can be shipped to anywhere in the UK - another thing to tick off the Christmas list.
