IT'S that time of year again. The list of Christmas presents most unwanted, this year brought to you by the British Heart Foundation.

Selfie sticks, Star Wars merch and Nigel Slater's musings on delectable buttery juices are flagged up as the gifts most likely to prompt a groan on Christmas morning 2015.

Research by the BHF has revealed a Top 10 of tat guaranteed to disappoint  - with the selfie stick topping the chart as the least desirable Christmas gift of the year.

It comes as the BHF launches its annual unwanted Christmas gifts campaign, encouraging people to donate their selfie sticks to their local BHF shop where narcissists will presumably be queuing up to buy them for a good cause: "Me".

The survey of 2,000 British adults revealed nearly a third of people in the North West (32pc) wouldn’t give the selfie stick house room, followed by the Insanity workout DVD (16pc) and the onesie (8pc). Celebrity cook books have also had their  day.

The average person receives at least one Christmas gift they don’t want each year, according to the survey.

Mike Taylor, retail director at BHF, said: "One person’s unwanted gift is another person’s perfect present. Whilst a selfie stick may not be on the top of some people’s lists, there will be others who can’t wait to get their hands on one."

Well quite. If you decide not to to offload your disappointing rubbish to the charity shop and wouldn't mind clawing a few bob back to buy something you actually do want, take a look at the Unwanted Christmas Gifts page on eBay.
