Chicken, tunes + bespoke booze… plus private space free to hire

WINNER winner chicken dinner – that’s the mood right now at Pattersons, where the famous fried chicken, gnarly drinks and banging tunes are taking on a party feel. The gang have opened the Spring and Summer diary and are busy taking bookings for the private function room and rooftop terrace in the OG Patt’s on Gradwell Street. Slap bang in the middle of town’s Ropewalks neighbourhood, the space is completely free to hire and perfect for hosting your dos large and small… and they can host up to 100 guests, so it’s a great place to celebrate with friends, family and colleagues.

The scran’s not bad, either. The famous Pattersons fried chicken takes a love of American food as its start point: cooked to a secret recipe, the bird is brined and marinated for over 24 hours in a special mix of herbs and spices for depth of flavour and texture, soaked in buttermilk for over an hour then dusted in Patt’s own magic flour before being fried. Crispy, tender and pretty darn tasty, the pieces are then served on their own with fresh salad or in a bun. And as they say: “At Pattersons we don’t mind you using your fingers and getting stuck in to our portions.”

But it’s not all finger-licking, and competing for top spot is the burger selection, with a meatylicious beef patty certainly not an afterthought on the menu, plus the likes of salt 'n' pepa chicken fries, spicy nachos and bi-weekly specials.

As better weather is coming, you can guarantee they’re also dreaming up a few summery numbers and specials that are as indulgent as they are inventive.

They also have the perfect accompaniments to any meal in the form of a bespoke cocktail menu that you won’t find anywhere else, boozy and inventive cocktails to swap with pals, and their very own Patterson ales brewed for your pleasure and served by the bottle.
