Whenever we’re in the Lark Lane area, Confidentials can’t resist calling in for scran that’s packed full of flavour. Especially now there’s no summer to be had anywhere round here.
The chicken gyros meal is lunch bliss. For just over a tenner, it looks good, it fills you up and, most importantly, you’ll be thinking about the taste for the rest of the day.
Another hot Confidentials recommendation is the sausage souvlaki wrap. The Greek village sausage is totally different from a British banger. It’s a little bit spicy and full of authentic seasoning. We love it.
On a night out, or if you’re looking for something a bit bigger, the mixed souvlaki has everything: pork and chicken skewers and that wonderful Greek sausage as well as all the other little bits that make it so good like home-made tzatziki, tomato salad and, of course, Meat Me’s fab fries.
If you’re into fries (who isn’t?) you’ll love Meat Me’s signature loaded fries with chicken gyros, bacon, parmesan, green peppers and mayo.
The top meat free pick in our view is the vegan skepasti. It’s like a Greek club sandwich without any meat but with all the flavour of a Greek beach bar special. Order a beer and it’s like being back there. If you ignore the wind. And the drizzle.
