CREATED and produced in Liverpool, The Games is one of only a handful of officially licensed "Inspired by London 2012" theatre productions in the UK.
The Games has been devised by our very own Spike Theatre and started on the blocks at last year's Edinburgh Fringe. Now it is on national tour, coming home to the Unity this weekend.
Jointly directed by Spike's Mark Smith and Toby Park (Spy Monkey) who has also composed the original music and songs featured in the show, it stars Liam Tobin, Keddy Sutton and Mark Keemar Smith.
Billed as an "undiscovered’ Greek comedy, The Games incorporates sporting equipment with a thousand uses, an original musical score, clown, shadow puppetry and scenes of simulated nudity.
Mind those hurdles, chaps.
The Games, Unity Theatre, Hope Place, Liverpool. Fri-Sat March 23-24, 8pm. Tickets, going fast, are £12/£10 from here.
