KYLIE Minogue has chosen Liverpool to kick off her European tour in September.

The “Kiss Me Once” Tour – also the name of her new album - will comprise of 31 shows in 15 countries - including 12dates in the UK and Ireland.

Kylie, 45, took to twitter to announce the tour: #Lovers! I'm going back on tour in Europe starting on September 24! Hope to see you there.”

Famous for her live shows, Kylie’s Kiss Me Once Tour, which opens at the Arena, will be true to form as a celebration of both new and old material, it says here.

Kiss Me Once is her first studio album since 2010’s ‘Aphrodite’, and her first since splitting with the manager who plucked her from Neighbours in 1987, Terry Blamey. The 45-year-old said at the time, January 2013, that she wanted to concentrate on acting with music taking a back seat, but there you go.

The album was executive produced by Kylie and Sia, who also penned the title track. Kylie also teams up with Pharrell Williams who wrote and produced on of the tracks.

Tickets for the Kiss Me Once Tour go on sale at 9am on Friday 21st March here
