STANLEY STREET nightclub Escape Bar has been temporarily closed following a request by Merseyside Police.
Senior city centre officers applied for the suspension following an incident at Escape in the early hours of Sunday 27 December, when officers were called to reports a 16 year-old had been stabbed, and a subsequent investigation at the club.
A 17 year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and bailed pending further enquiries.
Liverpool City Council’s licensing committee today, Thursday 31 December, agreed to suspend the licence pending a full licence review hearing at the end of January.
