Liverpool’s creative and digital workers are being asked to bring their old coats and sleeping bags when they pack their business cards for a networking event this week.

“Creative Kitchen” will be promoting “Tech for Good” with its city centre Made Here event this Thursday.

Organisers have partnered with homeless support charity The Whitechapel Centre and are asking members of the creative, digital and business community to donate old coats, clothes, towels, food, sleeping bags and more to be used in their city centre shelter.

But anyone can give stuff: all donations will be welcome throughout the day at the event venue in Tithebarn Street.

The workshop is being led by the Alder Hey Children's Foundation NHS Trust, whose Fresh CAMHS project works to address the subject of mental health with young people.  Keynote speakers this months are FACT, So-Mo and The Fresh Group.

Creative Kitchen curator Gavin Sherratt said: “With our focus on tech for good at this month's Made Here event we thought that we would encourage the creative and digital community to support a good cause.”

The Creative Kitchen Made Here concept has been designed to showcase Liverpool's creative and digital talent, building on the sector's importance in the Liverpool City region's economic growth.

Previous events have seen award winning agencies such as Apposing, Uniform and Well Made address the Creative Kitchen audience.

*Whitechapel Centre donate: Launch 22, Tempest Building, Tithebarn Street, L2, Thursday November 19, from 9am and during the Made Here event from 5.30pm until 8pm.
