THERE are some words which don't belong together: “Ginger” and “Brazillian” are two, And “horse” and “sausage” are two more.
Nevertheless, Tuebrook butcher Bexleys has created a special delicacy in time for this year’s Grand National encompassing three of those very nouns.
The Horseshoe Sausage is the brainchild of Bexleys’ production manager, Dave Fox, “lovingly created using the finest pork” from Cheshire based suppliers, Phythians Ltd.
Bexleys boss Martin Brereton said: “We wanted to give people something special to celebrate the race weekend."
The Horseshoe Sausage is available from Bexleys (branches in Old Swan and Huyton) from today (Thursday 3rd April) priced at £3.00 per pack.
The sausage has a lashing of ginger beer from the Grand National sponsor, so if you are itching for a Crabbies, you won't be disappointed.
