A toast to some of the tastiest roasts about town right now
9 minute read
Sometimes, like when you had one too many sherbets the night before and you feel (and look) like boiled crap, you just can’t beat a home-cooked roast. Steaming hot spuds delivered straight from the oven into your gob - it’s a form of self-care.
Sometimes, though, it is nice to scrub up and head out for a Sunday roast instead and make the dishwashing someone else’s problem. There's nothing worse than scraping a gravy pan with a hangover. So, we asked Confidentials' followers over on our socials where to find the best Sunday roast in Liverpool and here we have it: 10 of the city’s best roasts to add to your roster. Dig in.
Barnacle
Take your seat at the intimate brasserie on the mezz at Duke Street Market for a Sunday roast with fine dining finesse. The set menu includes amuse bouche with five-grain sourdough bread and raw milk Wirral butter. Bookend your feast with a selection of supplementary chef’s snacks, heritage cheeses and petit four. Available on Sundays only; 2 courses for £37 or 3 courses for £45.
