The lingerie brand will open its eighth store in the city centre in early 2018
If ever there was a brand that makes women feel sexy, it’s Victoria’s Secret. The slinky slips and sparkling lingerie are guarantee to make you feel like one of the ‘Angels’ - those unbelievably toned, supermodel goddesses that showcase collections at arguably one of the most highly anticipated runways of the year.
Soon, Manchester Arndale centre will be getting a touch of pink as the American lingerie brand plans to launch its eighth UK store in the city centre.
Taking over the former spot of Guess, Coast and Bose, the 9,750 sq ft store will sell the two iconic sister brands side by side; Victoria’s Secret and Victoria’s Secret PINK.
Showcasing iconic lingerie modelled by Victoria’s Secret’s winged supermodels, as well as the college-inspired loungewear and pyjamas from PINK, the latest letting is set to be a hit with consumers who previously had to visit the Trafford Centre to shop the looks.
Following recent news of Paul Smith signing for a unit at the nearby New Cathedral Street, Intu’s management team said the Victoria’s Secret letting will “continue the premium theme” of the Arndale.
Colin Flinn, regional managing director at Intu, said: “Welcoming such a sought after international name such as Victoria’s Secret to Manchester Arndale is hugely positive.
“As retailers continue to assess their portfolios to ensure they are in the most prominent shopping hotspots, Victoria’s Secret, as with Paul Smith, put Manchester city centre firmly on its list.”
Those eager to get their hands on lingerie styles modelled by the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio and Gigi Hadid will have to wait until after Christmas to visit the store – the new retailer is planned to open in early 2018.
