PREPARING for Valentine's weekend shouldn't take too much effort but if you're a woman on a mission to impress then it may be time to whip out your make-up kit.

Pink cheeks, eyes, lips and brows - no, I'm not sorry.

There's the obvious make-up looks come Valentine's: dark and smouldering eyes, a candlelit soft glow and of course the classic red lip. Yet, like most 'big' occasions, there's always excuse to push the boat out and experiment a little.

Make-up artist Frankie Noone has chosen three make-up looks for you to recreate over the Valentine's weekend, plus her top make-up purchases.

SMOKEY EYE AND RED LIP

"This is the standard going out smokey eye, I love a red lip but this one would look amaze with nude lips too."

CUTESY VALENTINES

"This is certainly cutesy valentines make-up look and yes a little sickening with heart drawn on top of one of the eyes. Create big winged cat eyes with nothing on the lower lashline, and draw the little heart with the same liner and skinny brush. Jazz the look up with a pink or red lips."

PINK EXPLOSION

"Okay, so if anyone wants to go colourful for V-day, this one is basically just an explosion of pink. Pink cheeks, eyes, lips and brows - no, I'm not sorry. A make-up look which channels the same colour throughout is called 'monochromatic' and this is ridiculously monochromatic. "
