The ‘Scandi-cool’ brand will open in the city for the first time this spring
With ‘shimmering stairs’, ‘sea beast scales’, ‘disco cloud lighting’ and ‘rainbow fitting rooms’ Manchester’s first Monki store is expected to be a colourful production.
The Swedish fashion brand will unveil its imaginative ‘Monki World’ concept store in Manchester Arndale late this spring. Part of the H&M group, the new store will join the brand’s large international portfolio.
Popular with millennials, Monki boasts trendy ‘Scandi cool' meets 'Asian street style' and has a reputation for throwing colourful events and parties. Those au fait with the brand will know it for its fun and fearless approach to dressing and fashion (think Urban Outfitters meets Topshop).
