Initially launched with menswear in 2013 before adding womenswear in 2015, the Manchester born-and-bred brand targets 18-to-25-year-olds with affordable luxury pieces. Celebrating casual style and workwear, the brand gives a nostalgic nod to quality made products that stand the test of time, whilst jazzing up designs with bold prints and modern cuts. True to its millennial targeting, Native Youth’s product also transcend gender, with fabrics used across both men’s and womenswear and unisex items proving popular - the first gender-neutral piece, the Apex Parka coat, was released for Autumn 17 and sold out quickly.

Native Youth is the brainchild of Ash Kumar, a Manchester Metropolitan graduate who started his fashion career working at the family-run high street fashion house Influence. Influence was founded in the 1970s by Kumar’s grandmother, and is now run by Kumar and his brother Sanjeev, who are both directors.
