EVOLVE’S Gentle Cleansing Melt (£13.99 for 100ml) is one of my favourite cleansers – probably one of my top three. I can’t imagine anyone who couldn’t use this stuff.
This great British indy brand is well worth seeking out and sampling (yes, they offer natty little samples so you can try before you commit to the full-size products)
Certified organic, massage it onto a dry face and neck and apply warm water to transform it into a creamy vanilla-infused milk. Gentle through and through, this is the little black dress of cleansers that calms skin, leaving it clean and soft.
Their Perfect Radiance Facial Polish (£12.99 for 100ml), suitable for sensitive skin, is creamy enough to hydrate while it sloughs off the day. I’m particularly keen on revving up my complexion after the veil of winter lifts and brightening it in anticipation of long, sun-kissed days (one can dream) – which is why I’m always on the lookout for exfoliators that do their job, but don’t take off a layer of skin in the process. Thankfully, Evolve have struck the right balance with this offering. Recommended.

The Multi Peptide Single Cream (£19.99 for 50ml) is a light, organic moisturiser better suited for spring and summer when the elements aren’t quite so harsh. It has a smell and consistency all of its own that has intrigued me ever since I first encountered it. Not in a bad way, though; rather, in a way that’s drawn me back to it again and again, even with a bathroom full of products to test. It’s one of the few bottles of moisturiser I’ve actually finished – which, I think, says it all.
I’ve tried both their Protein Build Shampoo (£9.99 for 200ml) and their Protein Build Conditioner (£11.99 for 200ml). They were recommended to me as I have afro-European hair that tends towards being dry and lacking shine.
If you have dry, straight, European hair, you’ll be fine with this as it’s gentle and moisturising... just not moisturising enough for my hair type. But, then again, when I find a shampoo that is suitably capable of moisturising my curly locks, I’ll buy shares in the company. The conditioner, on the other hand, I leave in as it helps define my curls without weighing them down. Smells lovely, too.
Evolve is one of the few natural skincare brands of which I’ve probably tried almost all the range. Other favourites include their Skin Cocoon Body Wash (£9.99 for 200ml) which envelops you in subtle, ethereal aromas and their Heavenly Smooth Body Polish (£12.99 f0r 200ml) which is great at sloughing off the muck.
This great British indy brand is well worth seeking out and sampling (yes, they offer natty little samples so you can try before you commit to the full-size products). Their products consistently perform and their philosophy, in the right place. Organic, vegan, cruelty-free skincare made only with biodegradable ingredients and wrapped up nice and pretty in their award-winning recycled packaging.
