Manchester School of Art and Manchester Fashion Institute graduates showcased their final collections in London
Christopher Bailey MBE, Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon, Julien McDonald and Manchester-born Matthew Williamson all debuted at Graduate Fashion Week at the start of their careers. With visions of achieving similar success, the annual showcase – which attracts more than 30,000 visitors each year - is an important milestone in any young designer’s career.
Earlier this week, the next generation of fashion talent revealed their collections to industry tastemakers including designer Henry Holland at the Truman Brewery exhibition space, London.

Representing Manchester on the main catwalk was Manchester Metropolitan University's prestigious School of Art and their sixteen chosen graduates.
Featuring accomplished and innovative collections spanning menswear, womenswear, knitwear, the catwalk was a triumph of colour and printwork.
Standout collections came from Vincent Wang, Louise Clark’s 'abstract Romanticism' inspired line, Teresa Lee, Zaiton Lamut menswear, Faye Jones and Lydia Smith.
Fifteen students from the Manchester Fashion Institute also showed their garments in a dazzling and diverse presentation.
