Heidi Klum’s budget Lidl line
Victoria’s Secret, Sports Illustrated and Lidl - it’s a portfolio that might sound a little jarring to some, but not for international supermodel Heidi Klum. The German-born model has teamed up with the Swiss supermarket to launch an affordable clothing collection with a premium feel, making it accessible to everyone. The eighteen piece capsule collection features a range of covetable items, including a cosy knitted poncho, a suede tan biker jacket and a leopard print camisole.
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty makeup range
Rihanna’s highly-anticipated makeup line drops this month at Harvey Nichols and the beauty world could not be more excited. Get ready for bold looks sprinkled with Rihanna’s daring personality, but with a focus on diversity – Instagram leaks have revealed that models Duckie Thot, Slick Woods, Selena Forrest and Halima Aden all star in the brands campaign.
ASOS’ makeup range
Online megastore ASOS has launched a make-up line to empower 20-somethings, complete in millennial pink. Designed to help young people ‘to confidently be themselves, however they choose to do so’, the range spans 46 shades of daring colours from matte lipsticks to contouring palettes each named to reflect a current mood – from ‘Overqualified’ to ‘Uncompromising’. If you love Instagram-worthy Prices will start at £5 for a lip pencil or eyeliner and will go up to £10 for the Translucent Finishing Pressed Powder. Available online in mid-September.
American brand Glossier comes to the UK
Unless you include jet-setting to LA in your weekly shopping agenda, then chances are you’ve had little chance to get your hands on American cult beauty brand Glossier. Launching just three years ago, the skincare-focussed brand has already found fame amongst Instagram-obsessed beauty junkies across the pond. But now, the US label is shaking up the British beauty scene after announcing it will launch in the UK this October. Popular products to hit the shelves include Cloud paint – a selection of gel-cream cheek blushes – and a Milky Jelly Cleanser that speeds up your cleansing routine by dissolving even the toughest of makeup.
Boohoo Cosmetics
It’s lipsticks at dawn for online fashion giants Boohoo and ASOS; just a week after ASOS revealed it’s to launch its first beauty line, its Manchester-based competitor launched Boohoo Cosmetics. Available to buy now, Boohoo’s first own-branded makeup line includes beauty blenders, matte lipsticks, eyeliners, eye-shadow palettes and makeup brushes. Keeping true to the fast-fashion brand budget ethos, prices of the 29-piece collection are low ranging from £4 up to £19. Beauty aficionados are promised a collection ‘suiting the needs of everyone from makeup professionals to beauty novices.’
H&M’s Arket Brand Launch
Lovers of Scandi style rejoice, as H&M’s latest fashion offering promises to offer a Scandi twist on elevated wardrobe basics, but at affordable prices. Named Arket, the new sister brand will move away from fast fashion and focus on timeless, quality pieces in pursuit of the perfect capsule wardrobe. Shop the chic, minimalist pieces online from 25 August.
Balmain x L’Oreal lipsticks
You can now wear Balmain on your lips, thanks to the recent Balmain x L’Oreal collaboration. The 12-shade lipstick collection could be the birth of couture beauty, with sleek packaging and adventurous shades including a deep blue ‘Grace’ and a vivid green ‘Balmain Instinct’.

Queen Bey is back with a new Ivy Park collection. This season sees the brand showcase a celebration of the beauty and strength found in uniqueness, with the new collection fronted by iconic models including the brand’s first male face, Ralph Souffrant, and trans actress and activist Laverne Cox.
