THERE was a collective cyber sigh of relief across social media when it was announced that the wait was finally over...
‘Woman’ is what we know and love as the image of Zara. Always positioned at the front of Zara stores, it features plenty of leather, suede, Angora and cashmere this season.
Zara – every woman’s failsafe fashion store – has reopened in Manchester city centre after undergoing a refurbishment over the summer months. Zara won’t reveal how much the shiny revamp cost but we can safely say it looks a million dollars. The new look will be revealed to the general public on Friday 8 November, but for those who can’t wait here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store...
With 2,000 square metres of retail space now divided into four bigger and brighter floors, customers can now find children’s wear located in the basement. High quality, high fashion women’s wear collections ‘Studio’ and ‘Woman’ are on the ground floor. ‘Studio’ is Zara’s most exclusive line with only 15 stores stocking items in the UK. Product lines are limited and once an item is out of stock, it’s gone for good.
‘Woman’ is what we know and love as the image of Zara. Always positioned at the front of Zara stores, it features plenty of leather, suede, Angora and cashmere this season.
The first floor is now home to the ‘TRF’ women’s wear line, featuring casual coats and jeans all at very reasonable prices. Finally the second floor now offers much more space for Zara’s full menswear collection.
Zara receives stock deliveries every single Sunday and Thursday and that totals to a whopping 30,000 new pieces every year.
Commenting on their new look, a Zara spokesperson said: “The space created by the new design allows us to show fashion-forward ideas without superfluous flourish and makes way for neutral and uncluttered spaces.
"Products are organised into cubes which serve as dressing rooms, intimate areas in which the shopper can create a personal look building from the ideas put forward by the brands. The space becomes a catwalk in which they discover for themselves all the particles that make up the Zara fashion universe.”
Key a/w trends to be found in the new look Zara include:
Tomboy tailoring - sophisticated pinstripe coats and suits...
Lingerie – easy to wear, simple and chic...
Ladylike – seen in the studio collection. Voluminous sleeves and cinched in waists...
