About the blogger: Barbie of the Day has been up and running since 2009. Daily updates have resulted in hundreds of posts documenting fashion and styles as seen on the celebs. Only Barbie makes them look even better. The Barbie blogger lives in Côte d´Azur, France.

What is it about? This is a blog dedicated to the ultimate style icon, 'The girl who never needs to be airbrushed and who never puts on a pound.' The blogger dresses and styles a variety of Barbie dolls according to the latest fashion trends. They also copy celebrity red carpet looks and candid snaps, as well as reporting on the latest celebrity news using Barbie as the messenger.

The recent news of Whitney Houston's death was documented in fine fashion - dressing Barbie up in Whitney's 'Queen of the Night' costume. Simply wow.

Many of the clothes featured are handmade by the blogger, but most of the shoes and some of the clothes are bought off of eBay. Apparently there are loads of teeny weenie wardrobe clear outs that end up on the famous auction site, oddly.

Why do we love it? Barbie has always had the potential to be a red carpet star, it's the fact she's only 11.5 inches tall that has held her back all these years.

This imaginative blogger has overcome the obstacle by papping Barbie pride of place in various locations by herself, instead of next to a 5'10" tall Charlize Theron. Nobody puts Barbie in the corner.

The result is fashion where it belongs - on the body of a 'woman' who never ages, gains weight, shaves her head erratically or falls foul of an up-skirt paparazzi shot.

It's the latest celebrity styles and gossip without having to actually see their A-list faces for the millionth time this week. One can never tire of seeing our Barbie...
