FOLLOWING last year’s ‘nude tones’, ‘blue hues’ and ‘Gothic romance’ events, the dress code for this season’s Manchester Fashion Industry party was ‘metallica’ – and on a scale from 1 to C-3PO these fashionistas were positively galactic.
...who were the best dressed amongst the shimmering crowd?
On Sunday 27 November 600 invited and iridescent guests attended a designer fashion show at the suitably ritzy Menagerie Bar and Restaurant.
The boozy event provided ample opportunity for local fashionistas to out-glitz each other with some show-stopping and near-blindingly bright, sparkly outfits, with more glitter on show than on a MAC beauty counter.
Not on former boxing world champion, Ricky Hatton, mind. But Jsky on the other hand... (see below).
Other recognizable faces included Corrie actress Brooke Vincent, Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter, and reality TV stars Dawn Ward, Jemma Lucy and Charlotte Dawson.
Manchester Fashion Industry Director’s Remi Akande and Domain Esdale said of the occasion: "We love hosting these fashion events, creating a buzz in the city and putting Manchester on the map for fashion. We’re overwhelmed with the support and attendance. ''
In association with high-end department store, Flannels, the night included performances by stilt-walkers and trapeze artists, before a well-produced fashion catwalk showcasing designer looks from Gucci, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana and more.
