Movement is Medicine | LEAF, 16 January

We all know that exercise is good for our health, but did you know that movement can be a form of medicine for some conditions? The effects of heart disease, type two diabetes and dementia can be slowed down and in some cases even reversed with the adoption of regular exercise. In an age where we’re constantly sitting – at our desks, on public transport, whilst watching Netflix – it’s never been more important to get moving. That’s why physiotherapist and NHS Doctor Jessicarr Moorhouse has teamed up with movement coach Darryl Edwards and health coach Suzy Glaskie to discuss how regular movement and exercise can impact modern lives. Forget building ‘the perfect peach’ or trying to carve a six pack – this is all about attainable lifestyle goals that will make a difference to your mind, body and future.
