£50 to spend at The Hinchliffe Arms – for just £25

The Hinchliffe Arms is exactly the sort of pub Sunday supplements get their knickers in a twist about. We can see why. We’ve got our knickers in a twist about this one as well.

You will too with our exclusive Confidentials vouchers which give you access to half price drinking and dining. £25 gets you £50 to spend on some sublime cooking. Plain old pub grub this is not.

The Hinchliffe Arms is a gorgeous country pub in a very pretty location near Hebden Bridge but a bit more tucked away. Seek and ye shall find. No amount of hiding away is going to keep this place quiet for long though. There have been a fair few iterations of The Hinchliffe Arms over the years and now is its chance to shine. And shine it does.

Dishes like roast duck with cherry and smoked beetroot or girolles with hazelnut and Yorkshire pecorino dumplings are going to draw food fans over the moorland from all directions because they are bloody good.

Chef Ruairidh Summers cooks it all himself, from the Hinch sourdough to the pig’s head gala pies. With a stint as sous chef at St John, that bastion of nose to tail eating, Summers is obviously one to watch – catch him here at The Hinchcliffe Arms before he gets poached by somewhere posher, pricier and not as much fun.

Because a meal at The Hinchliffe Arms is fun. For all its fancy flavours, it’s a relaxed down-to-earth place where the food just speaks for itself. And there is also a phenomenal Sunday roast on the last Sunday of every month.

It’s also an incredible bargain – pay £25, get £50 to spend on food and drink with real personality. You won’t find it anywhere else.
