Gorilla, one of the coolest bar-cum-restaurants in Manchester, born in 2014, subsequently gave birth to the likes of Alberts Schloss and half the current Northern Quarter establishments. Post-Covid it’s back and it’s better.
Gordo voted it the best brunch in the city. It still is in Confidentials’ opinion.
The Full English is awesome. The Royal is a buster. The quality of the ingredients is just top. You can brunch ‘till 4:00pm. What about Steak and eggs? Not any old eggs, red salt eggs. Oh yeh, the potato rosti never saw a freezer. Breakfast and brunch are served through ‘till 4:00pm
The big plates include the Reuben, Steak Frites and the best Caeser in the city, naked or not. To mention just three that will make you smile. That Hot dog still features and Tacos have their own area. Deservedly so.
Gorilla is situated opposite The O2 Ritz ballroom, a stride from some of the best boozers on the west side of the city. Theatres are close and its two minutes from Oxford road station.
There are a very few, very special vouchers available to Confidentials readers; Worth £25 and can be used Tuesday to Thursday. They cost just £12.50 each. You can use up to four at once per table, cutting your bills in half; they can be used on the complete food menu. You have to pay normal prices for the booze; c’mon people, it’s post Covid!
