Taking inspiration from the open-air marketplaces found in cities across the Middle-East, Comptoir Libanais has set up their own souk.
There’s plenty to catch your eye in the shop, which you can browse both on and offline. Both of the recipe collections written by Comptoir Libanais founder Tony Kitous are available to buy. Comptoir Libanais is the original cookbook by Tony, giving a great intro to Lebanese cuisine, and over 80 recipes. The second book, Comptoir Libanais Express, is jam-packed with quick and easy Lebanese dishes to make at home.
There are so many great ingredients used in Lebanese cooking, but they’re not always easy to find on the high street, so Comptoir Libanais came up with the idea to start selling them, helping you in your mission to recreate their dishes at your home. The restaurant is filled from floor to ceiling with such ingredients as pomegranate molasses, sumac, harissa paste and fig jam, and specialist cookery items such as tagines. Other items in the exclusive Comptoir HOME kitchenware range, designed with love by Tony Kitous, include herb tins and oven gloves for day-to-day use, and practical ceramics like teapots, mugs and pretty plates.
