Eat the week at Albert Square Chop House

All day every day at The Albert Square Chop House you can dig into traditional British cooking with a modern take, prepared to order using fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers. With the upstairs bar and downstairs restaurant set in Thomas Worthington’s iconic Memorial Hall built in 1866, you’ll have a meal to remember.

Breakfast is now available until midday, from 10am Thursday to Sunday. Pick from among Staffordshire Povey’s oatcakes or Tyneside floddies, omelette Arnold Bennett or eggs Benedict, full English or a classic bacon barm.

The bar menu is available every day from noon, with sharing plates, including the Great British Cheeseboard, and Mrs Beeton-style classics, from braised steak and kidney pudding to Best Bitter-battered cod and chips, and from Lancashire butter pie to corned beef hash.

On Sundays, two courses are £19.95 and three are £24.95, with traditional roast dinners served from the carving trolley, including 28-day aged roast rump of beef with Yorkshire pudding and half a roast Shropshire chicken with sage and onion stuffing, along with all the trimmings. Seems the Chop House has your week wrapped up!
