Travel Policy
In keeping with the Hallé St Peter’s Travel Plan the use of cars to visit the venue is discouraged in favour of Public Transport/Walking/Cycling.
Public Transport
With parking in Ancoats at a premium, it is our strong recommendation that visitors to Hallé St Peter’s use public transport when visiting. Ancoats is a 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Train Station, Piccadilly Gardens and Shudehill Bus Terminals and Metrolink stops and a 15 minute walk from Victoria Train Station.
There is a short direct walk to Hallé St Peter’s via the Ancoats Jubilee Bridge and Murray Street from New Islington Metrolink Station.
From Piccadilly Gardens the easiest walking route is along Newton Street and straight across Great Ancoats Street, which takes approximately 5 minutes.

Bike Racks
There are bike racks for visitors to Hallé St Peter’s located on the Hood Street side of the building. Additional Bike Racks are available in Cutting Room Square. All bikes should be well locked and are left at the owners risk.
Parking
For visitors who do visit by car there are a number of paid street parking bays (two hour time limit) on Blossom Street itself and further street bays on adjacent streets including George Leigh Street, Sherratt Street, Jersey Street Cornell Street.
Charges are £1.20 for two hours. Parking in the bays is free of charge between 6pm and 8am and on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Disabled Parking
Drivers displaying a blue badge can use the aforementioned parking bays for free and for an unlimited time. Blue Badge Holders may also park for up to three hours on single or double yellow lines as long as there are no loading restrictions and the clock on the badge is set to show the time of arrival.

The cheapest tariff currently available is £3 for 12 hours parking at the Europark car park on George Leigh Street/Poland Street
On street parking
A very limited amount of free street parking on single yellow lines is available after 6pm and before 8am. Visitors are advised to park wisely and in keeping with the conditions of the Highway Code. Cars parked illegally will be ticketed and in extremis, removed.
Public Transport Access Routes and Drop Off Points
The nearest Metrolink Station is Piccadilly Gardens Station which is 0.5 miles away. There are major national rail links via Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria less than a mile away from the venue and several bus stops within the immediate vicinity on Oldham Road and Great Ancoats Street.
