Fress

Restaurant - Global

Established in 2017 in what was then the outer reaches of the Northern Quarter, Fress remains resplendent in chic black-and-white tiles with splashes of shiny gold, although the culinary focus has shifted from fancy à la carte evenings to fun all day.

Indie Fress has always prided itself on locally sourced, homemade scran, but the influences now come from further afield – breakfast serves up American-style pancakes, waffles and hash, lunch includes buttermilk chicken and chips basket and Louisiana-inspired fried catfish with slaw, and the dinner menu is expanded with a trip down Mexico way – there are beef and cheese-loaded tortillas, black bean quesadillas and tacos teamed with a tequila flight to wash them down.

Bottomless Boozy Brunch offers up unlimited Prosecco and Mimosas, there are dessert cocktails and 241 Pornstar Martinis all day every day, the milkshake afternoon teas for two start at £20 a head, then there are Freak-shakes, craft beers, beer baths and bubbles, plus cake of the week, if you still have capacity.
