Lunch at Wood doesn’t need to be occasion dining. It certainly doesn’t need to be occasional dining. Make it a regular thing and perk up your week.
The lunch menu changes regularly. In fact, we’ve just launched a brand new seasonal menu which includes delicious dishes such as a wild garlic soup which is heady with the scent of spring hedgerows.
Typical main courses include the fresh–tasting salmon with petits pois à la française, pancetta and new potatoes or flat iron steak served with bone marrow butter, haricots verts and purple potato salad.
Round it off with a dessert like Yorkshire rhubarb crème brûlée and you’ll be very satisfied indeed.
It may sound like luxury and bliss — it is, of course — but it’s also informal, accessible and perfectly suited to your lunchtime.
