The Greyhound: A classic country pub

The Greyhound is a traditional pub set in the countryside village of Ashley. It’s as popular with locals as it is with day-trippers – with Tatton Park on the doorstep it’s the perfect spot to reward yourself after a walk.

So why not work up the appetite for one of our Sunday Roast sharing platters and a few pints of Manchester Pale Ale? Sunday Roasts are all about generosity and what could be more bountiful or more beautiful than sitting down to a Sunday Sharer together? And if you’d rather have sparkling wine than sparkling water with your meal, we’re right behind Ashley Train station so you can leave the car at home if you choose.

Our menu features a wide range of dishes with fresh market fish of the day a firm favourite. Our grilled pork loin with paprika served on a flatbread with lashings of houmous and tzatziki is another popular summer choice and our chargrilled cauliflower steak goes down a treat with vegan visitors.

Eat in our relaxed but elegant restaurant or soak up the sunshine on our outdoor terrace. Pups are welcome (with a name like ours, you’d expect nothing less); we even have a fully-stocked doggy bar so you can both enjoy refreshments at The Greyhound.
