An Intimate Evening with Brian Blessed – Saturday 4 September 2021
Brian Blessed is a giant of the British Stage and screen as well as a respected explorer and mountaineer – a national treasure who is always going to say the unexpected.
Dinner with Brian Blessed at The Bowdon Rooms is an opportunity to enjoy an evening with a real raconteur who has been keeping audiences entertained since his panto debut alongside Peter O’Toole 64 years ago.
Expect behind-the-scenes tales from his stage and screen roles, from I, Claudius in the 70s to Flash Gordon, Doctor Who, Peppa Pig and Cats, where he created the role of Old Deuteronomy in the original stage show, not to mention his time in the Royal Shakespeare Company and his 30-year working relationship with Kenneth Branagh.
Away from the backstage revelations of greasepaint and gossip, Brian Blessed will chat about his experiences around the world – from his journey by foot to the Magnetic North Pole (he remains the oldest person to ever achieve this feat) to a plane crash in the jungles of Venezuela and his ascent of Everest without oxygen.
The evening will be different to any other – it includes a chance to take part in a live question and answer session with Brian Blessed so the anecdotes you hear aren’t scripted, they’re off the cuff and answer the questions asked by the audience. If there’s something you’ve always wondered, now’s your chance.
The event also includes a star-studded red carpet entrance, a champagne reception with live entertainment and a three-course meal. Plus – and it’s a big plus – guests will have the chance to meet Brian Blessed for a personal souvenir photograph.
Tickets are strictly limited for this black tie event which is held at The Bowdon Rooms for one night only.
