At Thaikhun, we take Thai food seriously. We want to share the aromas and flavours that we grew up with and it’s important to us that we get that authenticity right. With a whiff of kaffir lime and coconut, for a moment, the Khao San Road leads all the way to Spinningfields.
We may be serious about Thai food, but Thaikhun is not a serious place. After all, Thailand isn’t known as The Land of Smiles for nothing. The trinkets and tongue-in-cheek trifles that adorn our restaurant are guaranteed to raise a smile. They’re literally straight out of a Thai bazaar and though they may be a bit bizarre, they’re a reflection of the street hawkers and sights of our beloved Bangkok.
And the Khao San Road which inspired Thaikhun is anything but serious. It’s an all-day, all-night riotous mix of traders and stalls selling anything and everything – including street food dishes from all over Thailand. Bangkok is where they all come together and every stand has its own speciality.
Thaikhun is a place for the whole family so bring your little adventurers and let them explore the vibrant tastes of Asia, from sunshine sweetcorn cakes to the joy of slurping pad Thai and getting it everywhere – don’t worry about the mess, it’s all part of the fun.
Cocktails and curry, marinated tofu salad and mango sticky rice dessert, a meal at Thaikhun has something for everyone.
Let us share our favourite food memories with you and we hope you make some food memories of your own at Thaikhun.
